Scenes from the Jacob Story, Part 4: Jacob is upset with his sons for murdering and looting in the town of Shechem; Jacob buries his household's alien gods under a terebinth; after he travels with his family to Bethel at God's direction, God appears to him, declares his new name to be Israel, and promises a great future for the nation of Israel; Jacob erects a pillar where this took place, anointing it with oil; as the clan travels on, Jacob's wife Rachel dies giving birth to Benjamin, and Jacob buries her and erects a pillar to mark her grave; later, after the family settles in Canaan, Jacob gifts his favorite son Joseph with an ornamented tunic.
The first two are 20" by 30". The next two are 30" by 40". The last three are bigger, up to 40" by 52". Mostly colored pencil with some oil pastel. The last one is mostly oil pastel (maybe 70% or so)
